Osama Maklad-PhD candidate & research assistant, University of Liverpool

    Osama Maklad is a PhD candidate and research assistant at the Biomechanical Engineering Group (BIOEG) at University of Liverpool. He is graduated with a first class mechanical engineering degree from Mansoura University, Egypt in 2013. His work focuses on the material characterisation of the human eye and ocular devices development. CFD, Finite element analysis of the human eye under loading and optimization algorithms are the basic tools he is been using during his PhD to find the accurate material behaviour of the cornea and the sclera under the air puff test.
